Nerite snails question

Will they crawl out of the tank if I don't have a top ?????

I just bought some and they seem to enjoy cruising the glass so I was wondering if they can pop out and cruise around outside ?????

There is a lip around the frame on top so It might hold them in...... me thinks. :uhoh:

Does your tank have a rim? I have found mine up to the rim, but they can't seem to get over it like brigs can.

I might buy some zebras from you in the future msjinkzd...... I ended up getting the olive ones.

She also has red spots! Nerites are so pretty! :hearts:

olives will go out of the water i never seen them out of the tank. tigers are the main ones that leaves the tank.

ahaha all 4 of my zebras went missing today. got to go find them!

they will often cruise and groom above the water line. Some species (like tigers, green tigers, etc) are more tidal and routinely escape. SPecies like zebra (natalensis) and red spot (semicona) seem to leave the wtaer less. I rarely find one of those completely outside of the tank though they do travel up the glass to the inside of the rim frequently.
