Nerite snails

If I am able to buy nerite snails from a saltwater aquarium store, could I slowly acclimate the snails to fresh water ok? Or would it be too much of a difference? I drip-acclimate for about 45 min. with all fish.

I doubt stores would keep a nerite that's capable of living in freshwater in their saltwater tanks.

its a sw snail that can live in fw. plus they wont breed in fw.

depends on what sp. of nerite, olive nerites can go both ways but are primarily BW snails.
