I'm going to the store tonight to buy 2 Fire Shrimp. Woo Hoo.

I'm gonna acclimate them for 2-3 hours of course. I'm concerned if I net them their legs may get stuck in the netting.

Do I net them or catch them in a glass of water and dump them in the tank?

Thanks....

Netting inverts is fine, all you have to do is be very gentle when getting the invert out of the net. just lower the net into the tank, and gently wave the net in the water flow. This is usually all that is required to get the invert to release itself from the net..

Do not put the water from the bagged inverts in to your tank...

Shrimp rule. If it wasn't for the shrimp in my 55g, it'd be totally uninteresting right now.

But as it is, I stick my hand in to pick up something the snails knock down, and both of my lil cleaner shrimps come scurrying across the tank to jump on.

I've never seen a fire shrimp up close, but I think they're pretty closely related to the skunks that I have.

I did read on liveaquaria that fire shrimp will only tolerate a mate, all other fire's they'll chase away.

Just fyi....and in no way answering your question. ;)
