Never knew shrimp were so fun to watch!

Wow, very interesting shrimp... I just may get some. Any ideas for a good source to get bamboo shrimp?
They're commonly sold at Petsmart, Petco, and larger Walmart stores. However, they don't always have them in stock, so call around. You could also try purchasing some online. FYI, Atyopsis moluccensis is a social species, and do best in small groups. If you are serious about getting some, make sure that they are placed in a tank that is well established (~one year old), with a strong current of water. Filter feeders primary means of feeding is filtering out their food directly from the water column.

My amanos crack me up. From time to time I'll toss a few black worms in the tank for the killies. The amanos go apeshiat, the way they do whenever I put fish food in the tank. However, the moment they happen to bump into a black worm, it seems to alarm them so they immediately dart away in either fear or disgust.

I don't know why my shrimp have this habit. My buddy also has a number of amanos, purchased at the same time from the same pet store, and his voraciously hunt down black worms and devour them.

My RCS are pretty entertaining. They occassionally hang upside down on the lotus leaves at the top of my tank and feed there. I also like to watch them swim...it's just comical in general to watch all their little legs at work. :)

^ keep an eye in the snails when the red claws get to adult size!

..but you probably know that already.

One of my foods I feed my red claws is little 2 mm balls. It's hilarious watching them try to grab AND carry as many as they can. After 3-4 they lose one for every one they pickup.
