New 10 gallon FW

Personally id would do this:

6 neons
betta
1oto (if any at all)
5ghost

even that is pushing towards being overstocked i think

good luck though!

Thanks. I'm going to end up having to get another tank. I just know it.

I'll look for the java fern/moss tomorrow night and get that put in. Should get bio spira Thursday at the latest. By the way, with two water changes (about 25% each) tonight, we have the ammonia down to about .25. We'll test again daily and change another 25% each night til we get that down to nothing. Of course, I won't add any more fish til ammonia=0, nitrites=0 and I have a nitrate test to check that level as well.

Then when it's all ready - I'll add 2 more neons, some ghosts and the betta. (He's still in his 1gal home now... currently adding bubbles to the top.) Then we watch, and test for a while. Maybe we can add a frog or two... maybe the betta won't do well in the 10gal... maybe... yeah riiiight. There's that "get another tank" thought again.

Thanks to all of you for your suggestions and info. My fish will thank you too! I'll let you know......

yea i love that feeling. you always buy a tank then want a bigger one...
6 neons, the betta, possibly an oto, and ghost shrimp would do nicely. also the ghost shrimp may get attacked and killed/eaten by your betta, or they may die on their own (short lifespans). then you have room for the frogs or loaches! :D
always try to look on the bright side of things
