After I bought a new 10 gallon tank, I finally added a betta to the tank, and decorated it. Here are some pictures (In the second picture, the Betta to the right is actually him.):
that was like wheres waldo. took me forever before finding the fish in the first pic hiding behind the plants. i never name my fish so i cant help you with that one.
Since they are 'Siamese Fighting Fish', I named my bettas japanese or Thai names that corresponded with their color or what they reminded me of, like Akane for 'brilliant red', Phailin (pie-lin) for 'sapphire' or Katsume for 'victorious beauty' and I'd name them as such. It seemed most appropriate because it honored their origins and I always felt that bettas deserved a certain degree of... nobility if you will... in their names.
