So my boyfriend is going to be buying a 100 gallon tank for $100. Which is a pretty good deal for the sump and all, imo.

We plan to get rid of the fish they have in the tank, but I'm curious on some ideas of what to put in there. it has an overflow on the back right side of the tank.

Any ideas?

cool;)
nice score, try to deal down the price if possible, cheaper the better;)!

i would do........................................

A heavily planted High Light Co2 Planted Tank!:)

2-3 Schools of 14-16 Schoolers(harlequin rasboras, green neon tetras, cardinal tetras, rummynose tetras, etc.)
6 angelfish(only if u have other tanks in case they pair off or if u will sell them), or u can sex them and get all females.
1-2 pairs Dwarf Cichlids(rams, apistos, etc.)
6-8 corydoras OR 4-6 corydoras and 4 loaches of some type(not clown loaches)
maybe a gourami, or unique fish besides angelfish
shrimp colonies(RCS and CRS, tigers, greens, just don't mix species so they don't cross breed!)

and u should be done:)

but just my opinion

i bet others might like cichlid tanks, big fish tanks, or just hardscaped tanks;)

ur choice;)

You could do alot with 100gal! I would make sure its 100 gal first though and have the guy give the measurements of the tank. It seems quite a bit smaller (my 55 looks bigger than that tank) but sometimes pictures are misleading! Good luck!

I forgot to get the dimensions for just the tank, I only got from the floor to the top of the tank x width x length.
But I'm almost positive its a 100 gallon.

I would LOVE some denison barbs, they are one of my favorite fish, but they can be a bit pricey.

cool, any thoughts, random ideas, etc.?;)
