New 20g Shellie Tank

Thanks. Wow, I just looked at cyp profiles, they are unbelievable looking. I'm wondering what kind of stocking scheme of them a 72g would hold. It looks like most are aggressive and get to 6". Are they difficult to keep?

so far i dont think so, ive got cyprichromis leptosoma utinta, they only reach a little bigger than 3". ive got 12 right now, im going to get 6 more next time i go to san antonio from a guy i know, i think they are reaching breeding size with the occational flashes from my male, with ever so slight flashes from the other males. i find them easy to keep so far, just be prepared for lots of WCs. also, when feeding them, i found that its better to hold the flakes under the surface before you let go rather than sprinkling them on the surface because the cyps can accidentally suck air bubbles into their bucal cavity. this works nicely for my eretmodus as well which had "choked" on air bubbles many times.

Wow, choking on air bubbles? You said S.A., is that Dave's? I was just looking at some of the one's he has listed, and the profiles on the cichlid forum. What's the reason for extra WC's?

Hey Drg, you have nice rainbows! I had a tank full of them for more than 3 years. Melanotaenia trifasciata is a different species from M. boesemani. The Goyder River trifasciata is the most expensive variant of its species.

Thanks efors. I sure found out about pricing on those guys! I know the Goyders are one of 3 Trifasciata variants, but as luck would have it, according to the Baensch atlas, they are the only variant that comes from harder, more alkaline water. Perfect for me. I wound up with 3m/1f and every morning the 2 bigggest get a bright white stripe on their heads while courting the female.

A couple shots of the Multies. I'm trying to figure out why the pics look blueish. It's either my camera settings or the actinic bulb in the light. I have a 10000k in there too, so I didn't think it would be that bad.
