I now have 4 tanks 2 salt and 1 fresh(1 not setup). I went out today and bought a 25 gallon tank. I am hoping to make it fresh so I can have an even amount of each. I was thinking of doing a species tank. My other freshwater is a community tank. Any ideas? Maybe some cichlids? Never liked em b4 but they are actually pretty cool. or maybe pirahnas? I like agressive fish but fish that can handle their own species. So any ideas or info is welcome!

Pirahna get way too big for a 25. There are several aggressive fish out there--what specific trait are you looking for?

i want fish that look mean. I want fish that I am going to look at and know they wanna bight my fingers if I stick em in the tank. I want fish who will chase my finger around the glass. I want something thats pretty though. like it has to have some color not jus dull.

And it has to fit in a 25. Well, I would suggest looking into the black paradise fish. Easily one of the most aggressive fish out there, very interactive, very pretty, will attack your fingers, and kill most anything you put in with it. No slavering teeth, but that's really not going to be an option for the size tank you have. They do best in heavily planted tanks. A single male and 2-3 females would make a nice setup. Possibly a single bristlenose to help clean up--anything else in the water column will likely be killed.

I've heard that sometimes they will even jump out of the water for food like an Oscar. Of course be careful teaching fish this trick, you might find him on the floor without a tight fitting lid. Also I've heard of several people who keep them with gouramies without to much problems. I think a 20 gallon would work for 1 male and a few females, but like oriongirl said it's probably to small for anything other than them and a bottom dwellers.

nice fish. I think I'll go to the LFS and see if they have any. I'll buy 1 male and 2 females and maybe some corys. Thankyou guys I also have been offered a 55g tank for some of my sw fish(a friend and I are trading). Can I put some cichlids in there? What are the meanest cichlids?
