Hey guys, I just bought a 30g long with 2 pre-cut holes on the back of the tank. I got it for $25 but it needs to be cleaned up. What is the best way to clean an aquarium. Also, this is going to be a new frog tank eventually, is there anyway I could possibly implement a fogger system that sits outsid the tank and bring a hose up to one of the pre-cut holes? Does anyone have any other idea's i could use those for, he said it's for a Sump (dont really know what that is) I dont think that is something I could use for a frog tank. Thanks for your help!

I believe the best way to clean that tank would be with warm water first. No soap. Frogs have very sensitive skin and can absorb pretty much anything they come in contact with through it. For hard water spots use lemon juice or vinegar. After that rinse it really good with more warm water.

You could defintely rig some type of fogger system through those holes. Just do lots of research on the different types of foggers out there and see which one will work best in your setup.

As usual, VF has provided some sound advice. Don't use any soaps/cleaners, vinegar/lemon juice should do just fine. If its a glass tank, get a good scraper.

As for foggers, I would highly recommend getting one. I would actually take a peek at Zoo Med's new fogger. A friend of mine has been using one for several months now with great results. A nice feature is you can use any bottle with a standard opening to hold the water, meaning you can fill up several 2l bottles if you go on vacation and simply have your house sitter replace the empty bottle(if you are gone for awhile).
