Okay, so I've been saving for this hugely lucky find for about 3 weeks. I don't know what I did to get such a deal if karma is real. It came almost right in time for my birthday which was yesterday, which is cool. Now, I'm broke all over again, but it's worth it. This is where I'll be updating and sharing my first really big tank experience with you guys.
Tank stats:
-320 Gallons/ 1208 Liters
-32" tall(w/o hood/canopy, which makes it 3')
-24" depth
-96" long
(almost 3'x2'x8')
The guy told me originally that it was 8'x2'x4', but it's cool because he was close enough lol.
-Acrylic, looks to be 1/2" thick
-Corner overflows with return things drilled in the back
-Some PVC piping, but not all that is needed
-1 custom sump that probably holds about a 35 gallon capacity(i think there was supposed to be 1 for each corner, but dont know what happened to the other one)
-Back of the tank is blue : \
-Tank was used previously as a marine tank
-Canopy/hood has a "natural light system" as the guy said. there looks to be 4 4' fluorescent bulb fixtures. A bunch of wiring with all different colors that as of right now, i have no idea what to do with.
-Some very very small scratches at the top.
-All in all, in good shape.
The protective tape stuff that goes on acrylic when it's new to protect it from being scratched up in shipping is still on the hood and the bottom of the tank. I seriously got a huge deal on this.
This will definitely be a project.. this thread is going to be updated as I go.
First step is pics for you guys. I don't have a digital camera, but I'll find a way, I promise. I'm too excited about this lol.
