Hi I'm starting a new tank. I'm brand new to this so any advice aprecieated. pretty much have my stocking list picked out. Can you guys give me some firsthand advice on the fish and if it seems like too many or good for a 40 gallon. Thanks a head of time.
1. 3 bluegreen chromis
2. golden basslet
3.occeliaris clownfish
4. bangaii cardinalfish
5. green clown goby

Oh I forgot to say I will have 40 pounds live rock and 40 pounds live sand. Also what type of foods have people had the most success feeding these guys? Thanks again

well most would say your good on the live rock. and you probably are, however i am i bit of an overdoer i have 140 lbs in my 55! lol. i have cromis and clowns in several tanks i alternate between ocean nutrients prime reef flake and cyclopseaze frozen micro shrimp. and once and a while a little live brine, infuses on little

how many fish do you suggest would be maximum for my tank?

honestly i think im a bit overstocked in my 37g and i have 65# of LR.

reminds me of the other day when i had 20+ pounds in my 12 took out about 5 last night no room for anything.. plus got rid of an algae patch :) win / win

i wouldn't go over 5 fish in there. my 5th fish is a neon goby so he's a little guy but the royal gramma is pretty big. the clown goby on your list is a little guy. the bangaii doesn't swim around a whole lot so that's a plus. you could prolly get them, the clown and the 3 chromies. but that would def be pushing it...

okay I thought that would be too many how does the clown the chromis the goby and the golden basslet sound? I really want the basslet I wanted to build my tank community around him
