Donated tank from a really amazing friend- came to me already cycled and well matured. Will keep a very close eye on parameters & watch for a mini cycle. I just got this guy set up yesterday, and added the first part of my stock today. Right now, it has 2 electric blue dwarf gouramis, 1 fire red dwarf gourami, 2 tiny baby albino cories, and 2 pretty small emerald green cories. Future stocking plans include 1 more albino and one more emerald cory, a pair of angel fish, and either a rubberlip or bristlenose pleco. What do you all think?

Please excuse the water on the back between the tank and the blue backing- some spilled over when I put the filter on/ moving some of the decorations around, and I have to take everything apart to dry it up. ;)

Looking good. Although it seems like you could use a shooling fish in that tank mid water to help break up the aggression of the gouramis and future angels.
i agree with you. . in my opinion u should get rummy nose tetras because they are a very hardy and are very striking in shoals of 15+ . Is this your first fish tank? if not i suggest u should also look at south american dwarf cichlids because they are the most colourful freshwater fish.

Nope- Not quite my first tank. Although, I am fairly new to modern day fish keeping. I kept a 40 gallon tank that started out being me & my dad when I was 7, and then just became my tank for a long time (until I was 16 or 17, when we moved & the fish died in the tank). I have had a few others between then and now, as well... BUT, I didn't know anything about keeping fish with any of those tanks... at all. I currently have a 10 gallon betta sorority running, and a 75 gallon fancy goldfish tank, as well.

I would LOVE to do a school of tetras! I was worried about overstocking the tank... if that wouldn't be an issue, it's a plan! Are you talking about adding dwarf cichlids as well as the planned stock, plus the tetras, or instead of the gouramis or angels? I already have the gouramis, and am not sure if I could even return them (anyone know PetCo's policy on that?)- and I am very partial to angels... the tetras are definitely something I could do, too, though!

Thanks so much for the suggestions! Any and all help is much appreciated!

Your tank looks spectacular. The suggestion to get a school of tetras is a good one. It would sure add a lot of color and movemernt to the tanik. Your tank already has a lot of color though.

Good Luck with your tank.
