New 55g cloudy!!

My brand new 55g tank that I just set up is really cloudy. I have the filters and a powerhead running. I have a very fine aragonite substrate and also think the salt may still be dissolving. Will the water clear up soon??? Is there some way I can speed it up???

How much live rock do you have? May want to up that and possibly run some carbon.

I'm gonna get some more live rock today and I am running carbon. It's getting better. I think its just part of the cycle since the aragonite is pretty chalky to begin with.

It seems that it is likely just the sand settling out. It can soemtimes take a few days before all the fine matter settles out in a new tank. I wouldn't run carbon as I doubt that will do anything and isn't needed, especially in a marine tank.

indeed, the cloudiness is due to little particles in your substraight that have gone water born, this will settle in time... give it a day

i agree give it a day or so and it will settle down.
