New 65 gallon tank, Stocking plan help

I'm loving this info you guys are giving me, so now my plan is this:

4 angels (will eventually be 2)
2 pearl gouramis
5 long finned zebra danios (or scissor tail rasboras if they look like they’ll get eaten by pictus)
5 white tipped (or similar) tetra
5 rosy barbs
3 pictus cats

Should the pearl gouramis be a male and female pair too, or can I get away with keeping 2 females?

Pearl gouramis don't generally get aggressive. You'll be fine with two females. If you're still choosing to keep pictus catfish, zebra danios look a little tempting to eat (I should have noticed this earlier.). Congo tetras might be your better options.

On another note, plecos are much more preferable than pictus if you like danios.:)

Yeah, it's actually the pictus that I would really like to keep, so maybe:

4 angels (will eventually be 2)
2 pearl gouramis
5 Congo tetra
5 white tipped (or similar) tetra (or scissor tail rasboras - they get like, 3-4'' long right?)
5 rosy barbs

3 pictus cats

This is starting to look better to me...

I was wondering about these blue rams I saw at the store today. If, when my tank gets more stable, do you think there would be room in this plan for a pair?

I'd ditch the pictus just for the sake of not stressing them.

I agree about the pictus cats. I know they look cool but do tend to be aggressive toward angels and especially rams. The rams like the bottom of the tank like the pictus cats and there may be territory problems. The pictus cat will look at the rams as an invasion and chances are the rams will not win the fight.

< also not a fan of Pictus cats.

Cories? How about some nice Cories. See what's available, check them out on PlanetCatfish (or ask here if it's a short list) and go w/ 5 or 6 of a species you like (I'm suggesting research as some get quite a bit bigger than others and some are a little tougher to keep than others).

If you're going to plant the tank (or maybe even if you aren't), you may want some Otos later on too.

Yeah, I've been thinking about it, and maybe another way I should go is to replace the pictus with cories, and have some rams. Then on the other hand, would the angel fish and rams get along when its spawning time for either of them?
The tank will be a planted tank too.

Spawning time for each can be iffy. They may go at each other, they may not. Its hard to predict.
