very nice! but be forwarned. We had a datnoid come into our store that was 18 inches long..even though most of the books say 12 inches or so...

I forgot to mention that the 18 inch datnoid we had come in was actually the silver variety, not the gold one that this is.
still, both are stunning fish.

I have never kept these fish, but from what I understand, they can be nasty.

a quick google search brought up a massive gold datnoid, that looks to be at least 18 inches:

can't really see the size on him, but if its really 18 inches then wow, thats awesome.
classic dats used to get huge, you dont see them much over 12-13 inches
the site that I found that pic talks about datnoids reaching 22 inches in length.
after the one I saw that was one and one half floor tiles long at our store (LOL) I can believe it.
