How would a single male Paradise Fish or a single Opaline Gourami respond to the current inhabitants of my tank. See my signature.

I think either would get along fine with your current fish. :D

paradise: depends on the individual fish, soem don't like tankmates, some are OK with them

opaline: should get along, but it depends on the individual fish, some will kill all the other fish in the tank, some are completely peacefull. I'd guess about a 8/10 chance they get along.

I have read that female Opaline Gouramis are less territorial than males so perhaps a female will be good?

I will probably pic up an Opaline Gourami today. Unless you guys think that is going to overstock my tank?

Well I didn't get any fish today. I have noticed that my Rainbow Shark is not keeping up with the algea. So rather than either of those fish, would it be better to get 2 Ottos?

ottos are very hard for someone with little experience with them to keep alive. Someone recomended them to me but later said that you have to make sure to get the fastest one at the pet store and all these other strange specifications, so unless you've had them before I would steer towards other fish, algea can always be cleaned off and can add a more natural look to your tank :D

It is cleaning it off the sides that I would want a fish to do for me. What about a pleco that doesn't get very big? Or one of those stick shaped sucker fish?
