Hey all
I have a 100g tenecor acrylic aquarium.
It is a peaceful community tank.\
6"dsb
75lbs live rock g.v.
cprbakpak
1large bangaii
2large pyjama cardinals
1yellowheaded jawfish
1 bluedot jawfish
1highfin redband
1large royal gramma
1medium para.oxydon
1 4stripe damsel
1 large fire shrimp

I was thinking of adding an dwarf angelfish or a yellow hawaaiian tang.
I was wondering who has a dwarf angelfish and what is he in there with.Basically inquiring about the temperment of the dwarf angels.
I have gobies and cardinals and would like to keep the environment peaceful.
Anyone with knowledge of or who is a keeper of a dwarf angelfish, input appreciated.

I have kept a flame angelfish. It got along well with a wimpy yellowtail damsel and a triggerfish. It didn't get along very well with a pseudochromis in the tank. They fought constantly, and it was making the angel stress out and get sick. I ended up returning the flame to the LFS for credit, because of his constant illnesses.

I have a Rusty Angel in a 55 with a Baby Clown Trigger, 4 Bar Gobies, 1 Filamented Gudgeon, 1 PJ Cardinal, 1 Engineer Goby, and a Swalesi Basslet. The Rustys are kind peaceful fish that do very well in captivity. Also in my 209 G tank I have a Scopas Tang and a Blue Hippo Tang (like Dori in Finding Nemo). I think the tangs might be a bit too active for your fish. I would stick with an angel. Hope this helps.

Well decided on the flame angel.I got him about noon today.
I am really amazed at the coloring and temperment of this fish.
He took to the environment immediately and didn't hide at all.He started picking at the live rock in about a half an hour.
All of the other fish seemed unbothered and unphased by his arrival. This seems unusual to me as my bullies are my four inch blue velvet ,lightning streak damsel and my four inch bangaii cardinal.Been watching behaviors most of the day and all is fine.
He seems to love his new home.

Thanks Ray
I am delighted at his personality and spunkiness.
Watching his behavior,I would not recommend this fish in anything under a 75 gallon. He puts on alot of miles.
Great addition to a peaceful community like mine.

Thanks Ray
I am delighted at his temperment and spunkiness.
Very nice fish.

p.s.Watching his behavior ,I think these fish need a minimum 75g tank.He puts on alot of miles.

Dwarf Angels are kinda like people in that each and everyone has a different personality. I've kept 2 different Coral Beauty Angels and they were night and day from each other. Flames are the same way so it sounds like you got lucky. One thing to note about them is that, much like people, they can change overnight and be a royal pain. I don't see it causing much problem for you with that stocking though, should be fine. If anything, that 4 stripe will be the one to cause problems.

My blue velvet damsel was my concern. He has grown three inches since I got him and would rule the tank if not for the four inch bangaii cardinal.
The blue velvet and the four stripe get along quite well.Neither has caused any trouble in a year and a half.
The blue velvet is one of my favorite fish.Very tough fish.I wonder how he would fair with my dwarf fuzzy lion and the eel.
My estimation is that he'd do ok.
My other estimation is that damsels aggression is attributed to the size of the tank.
I have never had any problems with any of my damsels.

I missed that one I guess. Yeah, definitely a contender for tank boss there =) Had a buddy that had one. It killed a Niger Trigger and a puffer of some sort I don't recall. It harassed the Yellow Tang, but it didn't get killed at least. It went about a year and was all nice and quiet, then in the span of about a month it went nuts. Beautiful fish though, very worthy of its own display tank.
