New addition to the Doll House

ah, great pics everybody, I love them in a group too.... looks like a tasty meal at that!!

Leo, just because Kramer isn't coated with different colors, it makes him (her?) more pretty!! how old is Kramer.... looks like a she :) don't be surprised to find an egg in the cage :D My first one, I swore was a he until that infamous day..... then I was in cockatiel heaven with babies (of course after getting her a mate. She hated the first one I offered her, another tame tiel..... then I went to a breeder and got a wild male... well, untamed male and she was nuts for him, and he loved her too.... *sigh* miss them guys...

Let's see, Sunny loves broccoli, cheerios, and will do anything for popcorn (popped) :D

Oops. Sorry, I meant for vegetables.

Doll - Good eye. Kramer IS a she. When we rescued him (her), we were told they had the bird sexed at a very young age with a DNA test. Well...I guess they lied about that part. We've believed Kramer is a she for quite some time now (and the vet suspected it wayy back when), but we had always thought of him as a male...so it's hard to make the switch. Kramer isn't a very feminine name either. Kramer was young enough when we got him/her that it could have been a male who hadn't yet developed all his colors. She is almost three years old now.

Kramer loves pizza crust, cheezits (rarely), corn chips, cereal, and he/she (see, it gets confusing lol) always wants to bite at whatever you may be eating.

Thanks for that link, reiv. Here's the one for Harrison's. It's great stuff. Kramer eats that plus a few tablespoons of fresh things everyday, with 10% seed in his diet.

I like birds - so do the dogs...

Guess I'll never have them as pets.

Whatever happened to the popularity of Miner Birds? Or is it Minor?? There was one kept at Mather's Bridge (hole-in-the-wall) restaurant years ago (very end of Merrit Island, FL). This bird was the most vocal, articulate bird I've heard!!

Ooops - that was Mynah Bird!

he needs a powder diet and fruits only that I get from www.arcatapet.com

unfortunately, they can only be friends from afar..... the lory is a little rough and more heavily footed then little Sunny :D

You know what Tuolumme, hehehe.... I was just coming to this thread this morning to correct myself. I meant to do it yesterday but got caught up with work (how dare they, hehehe).... anyways, you're right, it is a pearl... the pied has more of a painted splash look..... BUT this little gal looks like a pied pearl, if that makes sense..... at least she does now.... I don't think she's gone through her first molt yet.... under her belly is completely white and her back neck is white...... so we'll see :D Thanks Tuolumme :D

Same here!!! Mine will chase every sparrow from the back yard. We bird-sat for my mom's bird once, and Duke was a madman trying to get her. First we had the cage on a hook on the doorway getween 2 rooms..we found out just how tall our boy is on his hind feet. Next we put her in an extra bedroom, and he was always trying to break the door down and get in. Bad dog!
So now when my folks go out of town they have someone come feed her. They tried to board her once, buy mom was afraid she'd pick up some kind of bugs or something.
