Happy New Year everyone!

My tank finally finished cycling a few days ago and after adding three red eye tetras from my 5g tank without any problems I went to get them some buddies tonight. I just added four more red eye tetras and they've already been accepted into the group. They are an extremely active fish and I recommend them to anyone who wants to add some action to their tank.

I am also currently acclimating two small marble angel fish to get them ready to go in the tank. I am doing the drip method with a piece of air tubing running from the tank to a mixing bowl with the angel fish in it to try to reduce the stress on my new babies.

I also grabbed a snail because my girlfriend thought it was cute

I lost my USB cord so I won't have pictures until this weekend but I will get them up ASAP!

Hi,

Sounds good! And in your signature you say you have either Schwartz's Cory or Julii Cories (probably C. trilineatus). There is a easy way to tell them apart. On the dorsal fin is there a big black blotch?

Funny, I was just about to message you for some cory advice!

Anyways, I will be adding those cory's this Saturday (1/6) after I get my paycheck and I have it narrowed down to those two. Which do you think that I should get or are they fairly similar other than appearance? Thanks for all of your help, God of the Corydora! :)

I just added the Angels and they are sitting in the bottom in the corner of the tank pouting.

Hi,

Stupid me. I never read your signature and your post right and thought you already had the Cories. Now I feel :o.

First off, if you get some Juliis they're probably C. trilineatus (Three-Striped Cories). For some reason almost all stores mislable C. trilineatus as C. julii. Probably because Juliis are rare. So with that being said, I would go for C. trilineatus. I have four and I love them. They are relitively easy to keep and are quite striking with their patterning.

Hope this helps!
