New & afraid - believe it or not

beautiful fish!!!!

Hello DiDi. Welcome to the group fellow survivor. I too am a stroke survivor (07/05) and the fish are about all I can handle but have been very instrumental in my recovery. My reading comprehension leaves a lot to be desired as well.

Don't be afraid to step out and meet new people or to try new things. Nice plec - I have 2 myself and one is on a never-ending hunt. For what I don't know but he is really active and the other is seldom seen

Beautiful fish, Didi. You most definitely have taken care of him! Nobody here seems to bite. Please feel free to ask questions and post 'til your hearts content!

I've been a little luckier than either you or excuzzzeme. I've had a coupla mini-strokes since my heart surgery in 2002, both times when my coumadin dosage was messed up and my PT/INR was low. Having a stroke is the biggest fear in my life. I respect you both greatly for not letting it get ya down!

It is nice to know that people understand my short comings. I have had Henry (my Blue Eye) since 93. He use to have driftwood to hang out on but this last time I couldn't find a nice one for him so he has been on the artificial one. Just the other day I did find a couple pieces of [FONT=&quot]Mopani Wood & would like to redo my tank, are there any pictures of tanks I can look at to get ideas & is it safe to redo a few things, since Henry does not seem to mind his tank the way it is. I am not sure where to post this so any help in directing me would help. Thanks in advance

Hi DiDi,

Search the different forums and sub forums and post your question in the appropriate one. As for Pleco questions there is a bottom dweller/pleco sub forum that would be great. I know that some plecos require real wood in their diet - not sure if your does but it might be a good idea to get a piece in there soon just in case....
