Adorable to keep and great fun to watch. Gorgeous new babies (1/2 inch size/unsexed) $5 each. Few young adults/subadults left at $15 each (approx 4 inches or more).
Easy care -- they reach 5-6 inches long at adulthood and may be housed in a 10 gallon freshwater aquarium with a secure top (to prevent escaping) and adequate filtration. They like cooler temps, so no heater is required. You could keep 2-3 crayfish togther in a 20 gallon long.
Be sure to provide hiding places. These are semi-aggressive; do not mix them with other bottom dwellers (cories, plecos, etc.) or with aggressive fish (angelfish, bettas, other cichlids). Suitable with most peaceful, community tropicals.
Crays are omnivorous and will eat protein based foods, veggies, and plants. Feed a varied diet. Have questions? Just ask!
