I start thinking about to upgrade my RT to 200L (36” x 24” x 18”) with my 120L current tank (30” x 18” x 14”) to be the sump. As I heard ppl run a bare bottom, what is its benefit? Will it make any difference if I place the sand inside the sump? Any other thing I really need to take care about to have a sump?
I really need to design everything before I go for it to minimize anything I might have done wrong on my current tank!
