picked up a 4" blackbelt from my lfs for $8.99 . he's the one that spent his entire life in a tank with an arrowhead puffer. he learned to avoid the sharp pointy teeth. but he overlearned now he's running like a chicken from blood parrots his own size. as soon as he figures out they cant bite, he's going to explain a few things to them.

nice bunch of pink on him for now...

my good camera went on vacation so this is a webcam shot.

he's in the 55 right now. with 4 other fish his size. and some smaller ones. this tank has a definite pattern of 'jumping in' newcomers. they will make him miserable for a day or 2 then everything will be fine. i'll be home all weekend to make sure it doesnt get out of hand. i hope to have a 75g for him and something else [a red texas maybe?] when he hits about 6". the 55 is going to be for a breeding pair of nicaraguans and a few dithers and a small catfish.

put him in the 125g for a while but my firemouth and my red tail were giving him to much guff.

another lfs nearby had 5 inchers all beat up for $15 so i thought this one was a bargain. another lfs has a 8-9" for $40 but he was thrashed too.

Since when can Blood Parrots not bite? I've had them win lip locking contests with Red Devils.

i think he meens they dont have $%&^ing sharpe teeth like puffers lol

i got bitten buy a puffer and my hand didnt go down(from swelling) for a week i have to get 2 blood tests also
