Well, I found out my 4-5" black calvus were both males, so I brought them to my LFS that offered me the best price. I got absolutely screwed over. He wanted to give me $20 for both, but offered $25 in store credit, so I took that. I hate this LFS, because the staff really aren't nice, but the have the best stock in the area. I sold the calvus yesterday, but had to go back today to exchange the 2 apistos I bought. I decided to check on my calvus, and they were in a tank with 0 hiding spots, and I noticed the big one had his mouth wide open, but this lasted way too long, so I checked his mouth, and he had one of their synos stuck in his mouth. It made me feel better because I got the last laugh, but I really hope he doesn't die.
As for the new guys, I picked up 6 F1 yellow calvus yesterday for $50. They were advertised at 1.5-2", but are closer to 1-2". Still, they are nice fish, and dI will get pics when they all come out. Despite the giant rock pile and tons of conch shells (thank you efors), they aren't really hiding, except for a few.
I know it's long, but I really needed to show how happy I was that the LFS got screwed over, because they really do have terrible employees who don't try to be helpful.
