New caps on Coke bottles

I had a bad night at work. Went to drown my sorrows in a Diet Coke and couldn't get the cap off. I thought of this thread as I was wearing skin off my hand trying to open my bottle of Diet Coke. :mad2:
worldwide in 1998 (10 years ago), 221,190,000,000 bottles of coca-cola alone (not counting other coke products) were consumed.
we'll go with that half a gram per cap estimation of plastic removal.
243,820,238 (approx) POUNDS of plastic saved from one type of beverage alone in our landfills.
imagine soda consumption numbers TODAY and factor that in, as well. and what if it's more than half a gram? what if it's a whole gram?
I'd say that's making a bit of a difference.
my opinion on the difficulty of opening the bottle? if it's that frustrating, fill a jug of water from your house and take the healthier alternative.
ive lost 20 pounds in the past 6 months, and the only thing i've changed about my lifestyle is omitting soda.

they are supposed to look like the old red metal crimped on tops from years ago, and I guess they kinda dew, er I mean do..
BTW though lately, I have needed pliers to get the twist off caps off om my MGDs...I have tried using my shirt, a towel, and heck, even my teef, but no go.... Miller must have bought a new cap putter-onner machine or something. or maybe its a ploy to get people to drink less... Hmmm... Evil conspiricy theory? Maybe...

WOW! I have been drinking MGD since it was introduced, and I have one Heck of a time getting the caps off lately too! Hehehe-I thought it was just me!
