New Cory Needs ID

I picked up some new additionals for the family. Originally intended on getting Hikari's baby food, I saw a female badisbadis and a lone corydora in a tank without price labels for cories.

In the tank it had a dark mid section with a yellowish tail and top with a hint of red striking through the body. Underneath it was a deserted tank with the label Rabauti for 3.99 and with a lone rabauti covered in ick. I was guessing the owners moved it to keep the ich from spreading. I asked the lady working and she thought it was a rabauti cory until she said it had red colouring in it, tell me it was another kind of cory for 17.99 I told her i lost interest in it because it was over my budget. she moved it into a display tank where they kept "rare" cories and other fish that was left over from the stock.

she proceeded to tell me after bagging the badisbadis that she thought i was certified to take the cory for 4.99 along with anyother cories i wanted in the tank. so i took two adolfo for the same price of 4.99 (i've seen them at big al's before for 29.99 but they were adult size. I felt like i got a steal, anyways any ideas of what it is? its hard to take pics :(

Looks like Corydoras Aeneus.

Yup, C. aeneus.

If you want rare Corys most LFS' are a waste of time. Find a good breeder like Coryologist on AB.

thanks guys, so that **** lady tricked me. she also sold me some Adolfo's but i do remember seeing them for a high price so i wasn't too mad about that.. eh now i have one single bronze Cory :( she told me they were agazzis but boy was we wrong.

Corydoras Aeneus (aka bronze cory). I have 4 and they are so chubby :-) I paid $4.99 each.

BTW, sometimes ignorance of LFS is good. I bought 10 schwartzi cories for $35 (see my avatar). I told them they were schwartzi cories but they insisted that they were julii :-)

Are you positive on the id of the Adolfois? Let's see a pic!
