Lovely, we get a fancy new decorator tank with no gas exchange. :headshake2:

Let's take the drawbacks from BiOrbs, change the shape, and make it even worse for the poor fish people are going to stock these things with. Why can't beauty + contemporary design ever equate to something realistic?

I love the irony of this product being spotlighted by "PRACTICAL Fishkeeping" I wonder how much the manufacturer paid them to do an article on this miserable piece of s***.

The manufacturer even listed goldfish as a good candidate for stocking the tank. I expect better from Hagen

And Halogen lamps? This thing is less an aquarium and more a pressure cooker. What kind of goldfish do you like? Medium or well done?

Forget the goldfish and stock it with nano fish and I see no problem with it.
It would be fitered and airated if it was mine, id ave to do that.

Plus, I ave found that BiOrbs have had better airation then any of my tanks. Just what I have found.

(Here come the disagreements ;))

at least later in the article it says that practical fishkeeping doesn't recommend it for goldfish. still a pretty bad design IMO.

Wow, this is bad. Hopefully not all manufacturers start jumping on the "Lifestyle Aquarium" bandwagon. This could turn ugly.:swear:

This is like a step back from keeping fish in a bowl.

Definitely stylish. I really don't think it's as bad as some people are lamenting. It's got 3-stage filtration, and is looking out for the health of the fish. I could see keeping a small school of CPDs in there with no problem. This goldfish recommendation is pretty ridiculous, though.

It's not the product that's the problem, it's the people using the product incorrectly that should be the source of people's anger.

I want to see one in MGs house! :) ;) JK! Yea, I've seen some of your threads. The hard scape was awesome! :)

I have No Room to talk, so I am! :)

I'd be worried about the heat generated by the halogen lamps, but it would make a pretty slick shrimp tank in an office or something. With only 6gal of water, options are very limited.

Haha, that'd go great in my trailer! And for only about 200$
