New Discus

Beautiful discus!

I don't think I'd keep them in straight RO 0ppm water though. This can cause eventual osmoregulation problems possibly leading to kidney failure. 50 to 75 ppm is closer to their home water and can be easily achieved by mixing a little tap in with the RO.

I do Use seachem Discus buffer, and discus trace elements, which are made to be used with RO. I need to get a new tds meter, the old one is old and questionable (heck, it's not questionable- it can't even get a fresh test solution right)
So that's why I'm going strictly RO, because I've got a base that I know to work with since my meters' crappy. I wasn't really going to stock the tank for a couple more months, but I couldn't pass these guys up.
Might try and get some video this afternoon after water change.
