Well, I went to the LFS to get a couple more tiger barbs to add to my herd and left with a $35 piece of driftwod that I really didn't need - oh well, I think it looks good so it is worth the price. Below is a picture (the new piece is in the middle). Anyhoo, I am still looking for a centerpiece fish for my tank and I am still hesitant to add cichlids to the barbs (thanks for the advice everyone). I would ideally like a fish that gets 3-6 inches and has a little color. Any suggestions?

You may look into gourami but it really depends...like on the tiger barbs behavior but other than that i would go with some kind of gourami or maybe a group of 3-5 silver dollars... its all up to you man.... btw great looking tank

I just wanted to say I love your tank! Very peaceful and natural.

Guppy gal
10g
3 gupps
1 dwarf powder blue gourami
3-5 little cories coming soon

Well... with all those barbs you need a fast aggressive shortfined Cichlid... Remember that barbs will probably try to nip the fins of fish with large fins. At the moment i have a Gold Severum with 8 rosy barbs and no problem at all...

BTW really good looking tank!

Thanks for the kind words about the tank. I appreciate the input on the other fish. I'll let you know what I decide. Thanks again!
