New fish.... Mistake?

So I think I will move all the fish over to the 100 after it cycles and take out the sand substrate and plants to make it the main breeding tank. I have a AC70 on there right now. Should I change that over to something like a sponge filter? As for the babies. I will try to set up my 55 gallon. For the babies should I also run sponge filters?

I wish I could find really nice angel stock where I am. I actually plan on breeding so I get a little paranoid buying from a chain store because I can't tell lineage. I have gotten 2 beautiful gold veils and one that looks koi but I can't really tell and think I'm wrong

Could I grow their fry out in a 36 gallon tank? Or does it have to be bigger then 55?
