Congrats man. Geez I wish I was having that kind of luck. I finally got my parasites under control, but no spawning yet. :/

I have wigglers in the 20 as of this posting. Hopefully since they are the only fish in there now, they will start to rear their own fry.
Also, the female from the other pair that is in the 15 won't come out of her cave. I see that her belly is gone now too, so I think that this pair finally spawned too.:nilly::nilly::nilly::nilly::nilly:

Just went to my local fish store Aquarium Adventure they are having a 50% off sale and guess what, they had a pair of these. So excited, they are settling in to my 55 planted well. Already took to the cave i made for them. Cant wait to watch these two.

I would love to see pics. BTW there are more than 10 variants of P.taeniatus depending on the collection point. They do vary vary greatly in color, size and aggression. The Moliwe are one the most mellow, easiest to breed and stay smaller than most variants. They Keinke variant( if I'm not mistaken) are one of the most aggressive. Irregardless, I am certain that you will be happy with your taenies. They have quickly become my favorite cichlid.

I was able to get a couple of pics tonight of the fry. Hopefully these will be last terrible pics you have to suffer through( I bought a camera from toddnbecka and it should be here in a couple days).

Wow i read though this whole thread, you have had amzing luck with these guys! Must be doing something right, keep up the good work
