New Fish Questions: Wrasse, Dartfish

Try and get some pics first. No sense in stressing out the whole tank by tearing it apart if its a fish you can keep.

yea, and some full tank pics would be cool too.

I'd say the 180 is a bit understated, IMHO. C. aygula regularly get well over 3 ft in length (maxing out at 4 ft). They are monsters, but cool fish.

Yes, twin spot is what I thought as well -- LFS guy sold him to me and described him as a "Formosa" wrasse. Looks like I have a fish to return....

Thanks for confirming the ID.

Wrasse out; scissors in

I was able to return the wrasse, and decided to pick up two more scissor tails (from a different LFS). I then drip acclimated the new guys and added to my tank. So far they're all hiding.

I think the scissors will be happier with a small school of 3 -- hoping that will give them a little more confidence. I'll post pics as soon as I can get some good ones.

Initial results looking good -- I'm seeing the three scissors out and about a bit:

Your tank will be MUCH happier now. ;) 3 shy fish that like to be around each other and will come out in the open more with its friends vs one mean fish and one shy fish.
