Do you have any filtration on that tank? What fish are in the 65 gal?

First of all Welcome to AC.

What kind of an aquarium do you have those goldfish in, it looks a little small.

Tell us about your 65 gallon. Do you have any pictures of that. We would be interested to see that too.

Okay, first warning, the goldfish are going to need to go into a tank 55 gallons at least (though 75+ is definitly better). Second, do you have filtration on your current goldfish tank, and how large is it (gallons wise)? Goldfish are super poopers, so they need (at least) triple filtration for the tank size and stocking level.

Until you know you have a tank that can properly handle a school of goldfish, I would just keep the one you have (or give it to a Local Fish Store). Seeing as the original two died of ammonia burns, you tank does not have the capacity to handle fish like goldfish yet. When you have one that can, you could do a nice school, but until then it would be better for the fish and for you (money wise) to do it right and take it slow. So no friends for Sadie, not yet.

Oh, and just for the record, a healthy goldfish can live to be 25 years old. That is the target you should aim for.

Goldfish are silent killers, they will slowly add ammonia to your tank and kill everything. I you want a goldfish keep lots of plants and you need a 55+ gallon tank.

Oh, for pete's sake ... Goldfish are not silent killers. They simply produce ammonia like all fish do. They are, however, big-bodied fish and do eat and poop a lot, so they need to be in tanks that are heavily filtered and well maintained with frequent water changes.

(Also, goldies eat most plants — certainly any with soft leaves. I think anubias are okay. But the OP can think about plants later.)

You are correct about the tank size, Patrick. Goldies need 55g at least, and larger is better, even for as few as two-three fish, depending on body type.

180.jpg244.jpg230.jpgOk in the 5 gallon is Midnight she is done growing, 10 gallon is Dory, and in the 65 gallon bow tank is Waffles and Flounder. These 3 tanks has filter in them. In the big tank I have 2 filters strong ones. Sadie is really small, I want her in the 10 gallon when Dory is back in the big tank.

your first goldfish isnt done growing ( looks like a black moore? ) they can reach up to 8 to 10 inches for black moores and needs a 55 min, now the comets ( spelling error? ) can and will reach up to 12 inches ( a foot )... and needs atleast a 55 with a 75 being ALOT better. now the kois, they need a pond as they can and will reach over 2 foot.. some even 3 foot ( not unheard of ) but 2 foot to 2.5 foot is more like it.. that 65 ( 3 foot length? ) is WAAAY to small... the 65 is big enough for just the black moore itself, maybe a comet goldfish but just one ( but i would do just the black moore in the 65 with maybe one other friend. )

I got the black moor at Walmart the sign on the tank said small black moor 4 inches she is 4 inches her body is different then any other black moor.
