A little while ago I posted asking some restocking advice for my 29g. Well, I was able to give my 5 danios to a coworker which opened me up some more to different possibilities.
I went to Uncle Ned's Fish Factory because they have a great selection of cichlids and managed to get these guys.
They are Apistogramma Hongsloi Reds and they are farm raised in Czechoslovakia. Definitely the most expensive fish I've purchased but I really like the coloring. The pictures really don't do them justice.
Because they were so pricey I'm actually doing what I never do, quarantining. They're in gutted 10g right now right next to the 29 that will be their future home. I may think about a school of tetras once they're settled but I'll see how things turn out.
Hopefully I can talk the wife into a 75g upgrade next year and I'll be back with another stocking advice post!
