I always think those leave something to be desired, and have an ulterior motive (more sales!). Maybe they plant bad info, to get people to kill their fish and come back to buy more products.

Actually there are a few people on there that seem to know what they are talking about.

You guys are acting snooty and snobish IMO.

Do you guys do these forums to help the people or the fish? If someone you don't like posts a question about their fish do you just pass over it because you don't like the person?

I'm starting to see a side of you guys I'm not liking.

You don't need to argue with these people, just post your advice, back it up with links and let them make the decision. Its better to give the advice then to just ignore the problem.

And Fishcatcher...and whoever that groupie of yours is need to calm down. Advice given with sugar will be listened to quicker then the advice with the angry face and rudeness you 2 exhibit.

Lol, they do have some interesting theory on the hobby. I agree though you'll for sure get more flies with honey. The only thing that concerns me is the poor fish. Do people really still use under gravel filters in f.w. doesn't it cause nitrate problems?

Max...they haven't in my 25+ tanks...and not for the 30+ yrs I've maintained them. Dollar to dollar, they are the most effective filtration system available.

(since there is no OT in GCC Ill chime in) UGF are a major problem in FW are are utter junk, for people who use them and do not clean them. This is no different than any tank or any type of filter. When properly maintained, UGF are wonderful.
