Just received a couple of unknown cories. I know there are different forms of them these came from a friend. He purchased them at wal-mart so I don't know what form they are will post picture soon. I hope they like all the algies on the back of my tank. When I told him I was looking for some he offered me a bunch I only took two for now he doesn't like them and wonts me to take his other 4. I will probaly do this soon but wont the bioload to go slowly.

I do recommend getting his other 4, as they'll enjoy having a group of 6 more than just 2. Waiting due to bioload is fine though.

Since they are from walmart, they are probably a common type. You can try browsing http://planetcatfish.com/catelog/genus.php?genus_id=1 for them. Many types of cories can get confused though.

Make sure you supplement their diet. I'm fairly certain algae alone won't be enough food, plus cories need a bit of meaty foods. If you have them, they love shrimp pellets. They'll also eat bloodworms, brine shrimp and even flake food (after it has reached the bottom).

Yea all my little friends get a varied diet I just have to get some more bloodwarms and brine eggs. They will get an appropriate diet.

one good thing about walmart is that randomly they'll get panda cories, but just stick them under "assorted cories" with a $3 price tag.

okay, well, it might be the only good thing.
