I was thinkin of one for the sump on my 144 corner bowfront. you obviously are fan of them, so I would assume you'd give 'em a good recommendation? I use a rena on my 90 and love it, and I kinda swore off fluval a while back ago, but was very impressed when this filter came out!

I didnt rob anyone of anything -> was it my fault they didnt check to make sure the price was accurate before they posted it for sale? NO and it was the seller who made the offer of 140.00 plus 1/2 of shipping charges. So I robbed nobody. I didnt insist they sell it for 29.99 which was a obvious error. you should hope when you make a listing error i am the kind of person you will deal with.
 
powerkit they are a excellent filter I have no complaints at all.

After hearing their hard-luck story, you still had the option to pursue nothing and back out. If not for fear of marring their feedback score, that's probably what you would have right now. After running thousands of eBay listings for a living, I have also made mistakes like this. I'll admit they were sometimes even worse. I'd still consider losing $160 to a typo to be a pretty bad day, even if I should be glad it wasn't worse because I dealt with someone as kind and understanding as yourself.

You're right though. It was their mistake, and it was their offer to make it right. Luck had you in the right place at the right time. Congratulations.

Well even though the deal looks like a sure thing, I found the wife crying in the background a little convenient, but I'm a skeptic. Technically I wonder if they could send you a 2" model lol, just kidding. I sure you will soon be in possession of a deal we all wish we had received by having the same wherewithal to ask the right question "OK then what will you sell it to me for?", as I think many of us would have folded too soon.

RodinCA, I'd say you were highly honorable for listening to the seller's story and agreeing to a markedly higher price. You paid 5 times more than the original "Buy it Now" (and it was still an unbelieveable deal in the end).

To those who'd say you "robbed" them...RodinCA has something that a lot of people lack these days, and that's a high degree of personal integrity. As well, he treated a total stranger the same way he would expect to be treated, and it worked out for both parties.
