New Geo, need positive ID please

I picked up this little (2-2.5") guy at the LFS today. He was the only fish in the tank and wasn't marked, but the guy who runs the fish dept told me it was the last Altifrons Tocantins they had and he got moved to the other tank so he wouldn't get mixed up with the other Geo's they had. Colors may be a little off since I just put him in the tank.
Any ideas if that is what it really is?

I just remembered he called it a Tapajos 2, I went in looking for Altifrons Totcantins or Acarichthys Heckelii.

Doesnt look like a true geo to me from those photos more like a gymnogeo or possibily a G. brasiliensis but as you said the fish is stressed out. Take some more photos once it isnt so stress and I'll have a better time of IDing it. Btw correct ID is pretty hard on young geos but I'll still have a go!

Could it be Geophagus Tapajos "Red Head"? The shape and coloration on the fins all suggest Tapajos to me. If that turns out to be what it is then congrats, I've been looking for some lately without any luck haha

Here is a picture of a Tapajos for reference, if it turns out that is what you have then keep in mind they won't be fully colored up until they're adults

The Geo has been lip locking with my Blue Acara so I returned him to the LFS today. The other fish guy was working today and said it was a brasiliensis. I picked up a pair of Geo Surinamensis that were swimming together in a tank, possibly male/female, but I am not sure about that. They are ~3.5" and look great already.

Pretty sure G. abalios. The last photo you can see the large lateral spot and the caudal fin has a stripe or two in it.

Btw do the fish have a black marking on their jaw, underneath their eye? Not sure if the photo is playing tricks on me.

I agree with Abarilot, it look most likely to be from the brasiliensis complex.
The line running through the cheek/muzzle area is a traight in Geophagus Brasiliensis and Geophagus Taeniopareius which are very uncommon.

There are other eartheater species that have this line as well like Acarichthys, Biotodoma, Guianacara and son on.. none of which look like your first set ot pics.
