new ghost shrimp <3

what do you guys suggest i feed them? my betta is so funny with them =P he looks and turns circles around them examining and then just swims off. =D

I feed mine algae wafers (small pieces), some veggie flakes and yes...Shrimp pellets!!!

...and whatever betta pellets sink to the bottom.

I have 1 ghost shrimp very heavy with eggs atm! :D

Kind of like how we hover around the kitchen when something good is cooking... just waiting for the right time to enjoy his new snacks. ;)

lol. he does that with all new arrivals. staking them out, i suppose.

LOL GoldLenny is right. Don't be surprised if they start vanishing some time soon. Or if you see your betta all alone, grinning, with a full tummy. I'm not sure about yoyo loaches, but some types of loaches will readily consume shrimp.

As others have stated, aglae wavers are good, but shrimp will eat just about any fish food, flake, sinking pellet, etc. But, as nickmcmechan stated, watch out for copper (and all metals).

Additionally, you should feed sparingly. Shrimp are extremely sensitive to amonia and nitrates. Good luck!

i didn't beleive about the flakes. but you can now see a pinkish blob in my largest shrimp. my flakes are red and yellow. =P

my loaches are still pretty small, i don't think i have to worry. but the funniest thing is that my loaches like to sleep and play in this little pagoda in my fishtank, and the shrimp like to stand in the doorways. it looks like they're playing sentry. =P

They will eat anything.
