Yay I have found them again. I got a group of five a little over a year ago and unfortunately only 2 made it through quarantine (they were in pretty bad condition when I got them). They were the last ones the store had and they never to my knowledge got another shipment so I was left with some relatively lonely tetras. I was doing some perusing at a little mom and pop fish store and they had some nice local breed ones and they were on sale so i picked up a few to make a little school of them. hopefully pics once they settle in.

here is a stock web photo for now

congrats, I just picked up 5 also(all they had too). Here's a pic of mine

They are more active than neons and aren't afraid of bright light as in my halide hanging over.

very nice give them some time and good food and the blue and black at the midline will color up a lot. Love these guys don't know why I don't hear about them more often.

PS yay for the snorks

Gold tetras were the first tetra I really liked enough to invest in. Great fish, hardy and they get along with everyone. Not to mention how simple yet beautiful they are.

NICE!!!! Now I want some!!! Called a few LFS and found some------but they are tooo small. :( My Angels would eat them all.

They look amazing. Never heard of them. Are they available in most pest stores?

Those are awesome! but shouldnt they be called blue tetras? lol

Do not let the picture fool you. They are a bright silver color with a hint of gold.
