Thanks. I am not that pretty in my dreams. LOL

I am so sad that LOST is over!!!......Have to find another TV series with Josh Holloway W/O his shirt!!!

Well, of the 4 gold tetras that spent the summer with a few goldfish in a small (50g) garden pool, I managed to catch 2 of them. The visibility was poor due to the muck I stirred up while catching them and they swim just like minnows. I cannot tell if they've grown much but they are in good health. The other 2 are still out there...I saw them later when the water settled. The gold flecks gave them away. I will most likely get them when I drain the pool this weekend.

Finally captured the last two gold tetras from the garden pool and brought them indoors. The last week they were out there the temperature varied from the low 50s at night to the mid 90s during the day (there is decent shade from the water lily pads). The are eating well, although are not very active (with "very active" = zebra danio). Aside from feeding time, they generally hover in one spot in the current. Occasionally I will find two of them hovering parallel with each other doing some type of "I'm tougher than you" dance. I've seen minnows do the same thing (and sharks in videos)...back arched, fins spread and lower jaw extended. That only lasts for a few seconds and then they resume doing whatever they were doing before.

I found 4 quarter inch Gold Tetra fry swimming in the tank this week. They must have been hiding in the java moss that covers most of the bottom of a 20L. They are free swimming and actively feeding on FD brine shrimp and FD blood worms.

Two months ago I moved in 4 adult Gold Tetras from an outdoor tub and the only spot available was an unheated 20L occupied by 2 medium sized Orandas. I am certain that the fry count would have have been much higher w/o the ever hungry goldfish. I just realized why the goldfish were browsing heavily in a corner where 2 banana plants were recently planted...I thought they were munching on the plant roots. More like caviar.

Still, the fry are exploring the tank and doing fine.
