My heater has broken and no longer works. I am wondering what the best brand of heater is to buy and how many watts it would need to be for a 29 gallon tank.

Thanks

50 watt would be a little to low, 100 watt would be overkill but it would definetly be good for your tank, and that way if u ever got a bigger tank, you could use the 100 watt, and maybe add more. Id go with the 100 watt tronic/juger. Godd luck! :)

100 watt isnt really overkill... the general rule I see is 5 watts per gallon for tanks under 50 gallons..
150 watt would be ideal
100 watt would work
50 watt wouldnt

Two 50s would be good for a 29, as long as it's not in a room that experiences dramatic temp shifts. (In a room that gets cold at night, for example, a pair of 75s might be better.)

I like Ebo Jager and Tronics the best.
