I am just getting started in the aquarium hobby. Getting my first tank which is a 55 gallon in 2 days. I plan on stocking with maybe barbs, catfish, or sharks. I am planning on building my own cfl light hood with cathode moon lights and also going to be building my own filtering system using a spare 10 gallon tank.
Any helpful advice along the way with be greatly appreciated. I have been reading on this message board for about a month now and have already learned a lot.
