ok hi guys :)

iv got a new aquairum im setting up and iv red up a bit and i wonder wether this selction of fish would bea good choice so

-1 lepard pelco
-2 dwarf gourami
-2 cardinal tetras
-2 neon tetras

i have a 15 gal tank witch we are just ajusting forthe bacterior,

as you can tell im new at fish keeping , i haventever tried to maintain a health warm waterd combination, so i would like it if you could help me

i got started doing fishkeeping because im on the D.O.E Award and im pretty hooked so yeah all the help thank-you very much =]

how about three female bettas (was reading that you can keep three together)? that would be cool with nice plants aswell. thing is, i think that 15 gals is too tiny for any plec - would be hard to control the water quality and you could lose some of your fish! the leopard plecs grow very big. or you could just get a reallllly gorgeous looking male betta and put him in there with a reallly nice cave and some plants! or even a divider...then you could have two? I'm not too sure what else you could put in there, sorry!

ill check them bettas out right awway, my dad told me that i needed a botom feeder, whats the best type of bottom feeder for a 15gal ?

Hello.........:welcome:

I think the tetras would do much better in larger schools. I agree about the pleco; too big. you could try some cory cats, they are really cute and great bottom cleaners; but they do better in schools, 4-5.

ahh nice, just saw the simease fighters, there brill, but aint they agressive? i like the smaller fish too maybe 2 of them with is about 6 gall with the thumb rule so then i could have aschool of neons?

oh yes annother question is what type of planets should i get in there real or fake? iv been told manny stoired about real or fake people said fake takes ages to get water right and the realy u have to get good gravel to support, lol

i'm not too sure, i have zero experience with real plants too lol. but there are some that just require some good lighting and they grow well - like just a normal light.siamese fighters can be aggressive but only if they do not have a divider between them - the females are not agressive in groups of 3 i think. its the males that should be separated. but your tank is 15 gals - normally, 5 gals per male is good. so you could even have three lol or just get the one male with some cories! that would look so nice.

what type of corries, ill check them out now

well i have a bronze cory - really they should be in groups, but when i saw mine he was only 1 cm long and was on his own, and i felt sorry for him so i got him. now he is nearing 5 cm and is one of my favourites lol. there are others such as panda etc
