new here hi, but i need help ...

Welcome to AC!

I recommend you make a thread in the appropriate forum for more input from others.

well i did a fishless cycle and i didn't lose any fish i put in there from day 1. i bought 6 angelfish, and two guppies - they are still here doing great! although i fed my oscar one guppy. Fishless cycle is better IMO because it put less stress on the fish when first introduced to the tank and you wont be heartbroken over your first fish dying...also, i think it will be a load off your mind if you do a fishless cycle and don't have to worry about anything affecting your fish because you wont have any yet!
but this type of cycling does require patience...but its worth it.

the best way to cycle your tank is to find somebody that has a running tank and take some of their filter media and if that fails i cycled with cherry barbs but you wouldn't be able to keep them with your betta and if you change the water when the ammonia gets to high you should be able to cycle with your betta
get a liquid test and you will first see a rise in ammonia which is the most toxic and then that will begin to fall and then your nitrite levels will begin to rise which is slightly less harmful and then this will begin to fall and your nitrate levels will begin to rise and this generally means your tank is cycled

can u explain to me how u did this, im reading your hyperlink now but im not sure if iv just done this allredy ,acctuly im better off cheking now ,=]

ok so apparently im using API STRESS COAT+ witchis saying is taking away amonia, but dont i need to put amonia in there?? but also im using API STRESS ZYME witch is saying it is putting in there live bacterior are they good or bad :S

the stuff that says it puts good bacteria in is almost always just a bunch of dead bacteria floating around and rarely does any good

well if one is taking amonia awway , andthe other putting in bacterior is this bad because i herd that bacterior eats amonnia, so im starving the bacteriar, im compltly confuzzled xD!!

im not in freshwater though, im talking about tropical , shall i annyway ??
