Hey everyone. I just wanted to post up an introduction here before I start digging into the forums and learning all I can.

The name's Kevin. I am an animal enthusiast, and have just recently decided I want to set up an aquarium. I currently have a few pets, and I am trying to convince the girlfriend that a freshwater aquarium would be a good addition to the family. We currently have our mutt Sully, cat Wendy, bearded dragon Eddie, ball pythons Bella and Cissy, and a betta Nemo, for our daughter. I have an extra 35 gallon (?) tank that was originally going to be used for another snake, but I have switched to a tub system for them, so it's now sitting unused in my garage. I need to fill it to make sure it holds water, but that's another story. Anyway, just wanted to say hi. Now I'm off to do some research... :)

Hi Kevin. :welcome: to AC!

Hi Kevin! Welcome to the board. Yeah, definitely make sure your extra tank is made to hold water. Reptile aquariums are often made with thinner glass then fish aquariums. 35 Gallons of water is not something you want to clean up and I'm sure its not a good way to introduce your girlfriend into the hobby. lol.
