Hello.

Wahoo. I purchased a 39 gallon tank with a stand, etc. today to rehome my red cap oranda and two snails. I'm excited. Just began adding water, which I had sitting for a few days. It will take a few days just to add the water! Whew.
I will get "Walsy" a friend once he is acclimatized to the tank. I looked at other goldfish today but I didn't see one that captivated me.
Thanks again for all the assistance. I'll let you know how it is going. Then, I'll have a 10-gallon tank to put a few little guppies or something in...another adventure!

I filled the tank to almost full. Started the filter. Added one live plant. Added some gravel/water from the established 10 gallon tank. Now, I am reading about cycling the tank before adding my guy and the snails.
He is still shy. Hiding in the back behind plants. Makes me sad.

An update. Walsy is happy in his new 38 g. home along with Escar the snail (on another thread you'll learn that Go the second snail has died) and a new addition Sid Fishious. He's much more active and has grown too. Thanks for all the support.
