New leo-something grassy plant, questions

I just bought a plant from my LFS that looks like grass and it starts with Leo and i was wondering if it grew tall and i trimmed it, would the trimmings root and grow tall also?

Dwarf Hairgrass. Eleocharis parvula.

And no...they propagate by runners off the base of the plant.
