New Ludwigia Glandulosa turning red?

I haven’t really grown too many different species and this is a new plant for me (Ludwigia Glandulosa). I bought it from aquarium services; it was three pieces held together buy a piece of lead. It had 3 itty, bitty, tiny, 3/4in roots on the bottom. Since I put it in 3 days ago it's been shooting out roots from almost the whole plant, which is great. However, all the new leaves are red! Can I assume this is a good thing? I was sure that red plants generally required significantly more light.

That is the natural coloration of the plant.

Float cuttings to make new plants if you want more, or top and allow the stumps to resprout.

Are all those bubbles, Co2?

You can see the sintered disc behind on the left.
So yes, those are CO2 bubbles getting blasted around.

They show up well in pictures. not so noticeable in person.

Tank is a lower light tank, 1.7W/gal, T5 light at 30" depth.
ADA As sediment, EI type dosing. Good CO2, wet/dry filter, good current.

^ I agree with the above comments. Red is good with Ludwigia glandulosa. They like bright, direct light as well.

I have a few stems that were just lingering for a while until I moved them under the light in the open. Now their growth has taken off and the vibrant color is there.
